THE IMPACT CAMPAIGN

Our impact campaign is designed to center and support the mothers fighting for justice. We leverage the film and the mothers’ expertise to best create experiences and resources that support the day-to-day fight for justice, transparency, and healing.

For Our Children’s impact campaign – the Blueprint For Justice – is organized in partnership with the Mothers of the Movement, supporting the mothers’ efforts to combat police violence and corruption.

To directly support the Oscar Grant Foundation

Working hand in hand with the mothers as our impact partners, we’ve settled on two key areas of focus for the impact campaign.

Platform the mothers’ stories.

The mothers have made it clear that where they see change and healing begin is in the sharing of stories and the building of communities. We have enlisted Mothers of the Movement as impact consultants and are planning to embark on a national tour of outreach screenings. Alongside the film, screenings and discussions with the mothers themselves will further platform and center their stories, kicking off necessary conversation, bringing together communities, and highlighting calls to action.

Amplify the blueprint for justice.

There is a gap in information when it comes to dealing with crisis, transparency around systems of oppression, and healing in community. These are gaps the mothers work tirelessly to close, but given the right resources, their expertise can also scale in a meaningful way. As a result, we’re partnering with the mothers to build digital resources for other communities seeking accountability, challenging white supremacist institutions, and supporting collective healing. In this digital “blueprint for justice” we take the learnings and strategies the mothers have modeled throughout their journey and in the film, and document them so they can be applied to other situations, communities, and issue areas.
